Academic Information

Class Schedule

Classes begin at 9:00 A.M. and go until 12:30 P.M. Monday- Frlday, with breaks each hour. Each class is one week long (15 hours) and all students take the same class. Additionally, there is one afternoon class from 1:45 - 2:45 p.m. on Tuesdays that meets for the duration of each semester.

Class Attendance

Because of the intensive nature of MWSB'S academic program and because of it's one year time frame students are expected to attend all classes, chapel services, and Bible studies. Illness and injuries may be excused although students will still be responsible to make up work that is missed. Other absences must be approved by the faculty. The student must submit in advance his/her request which will be considered and acted upon within 24 hours by a staff committee. Unexcused absences will result in a grade cut of 1/2 step (e.g. "A" will be dropped to an "A-'' for that course).

Classroom Ethics

MWSB has the privilege of bringing in Godly and talented guest lecturers from all over the U.S. and Canada. These teachers deserve respect and attention from the students they teach at all times. Talking, sleeping, passing notes, and coming in late are disturbing. lf this type of conduct occurs the responsible student will be asked to leave the classroom and will receive an unexcused absence for that class. Beverages are allowed in the classroom but eating is not allowed.

Course Credits

MWSB grades each class, and each class is fifteen hours in length, equal to one college credit. Credits earned by students at MWSB are transferable to many different schools. Some of the schools that have accepted work from MWSB and have indicated an interest to continue to do so are: Alaska Bible College, Briercrest Bible College, Colorado Christian University, The Master's College, Multnomah School of the Bible, Montana Bible College, Northwestern College, Oak Hills Bible College, Philadelphia College of the Bible, and Prairie Bible College.

Grading System

A variety of tests and evaluation methods are used, based upon course content and the wisheds of the instructor. A four point system is used for grading, with a 2.0 necessary for graduation. (Those completing the year with less than a 2.0 will receive a certificate of completion for their growth and acheivement).
