Educational Mission

Provide a Solid, Enduring Biblical Foundation

Through the teaching and modeling of God's Word, students will come to know the Bible as absolute truth, learning to correctly interpret and apply it. They will emerge equipped so that they will not be taken captive through the hollow and deceptive philosophy of the world. John 8:32; 2 Tim. 2:15, 3:17; Eph. 4:14).

Develop Disciples and Mold Christian Character

Students will be taught and shown Christlike attributes through classes, personal and group Bible studies, and one on one time with staff. They will be challenged to develop perseverance in the faith, fix their eyes on Jesus, learn to pray and never give up, and to fight the good fight. (2 Tim. 2:2; Heb. 12:1-2; Luke 19:1-8; 2 Tim. 4:7)

Promote Christlike Obedience and Setf-Discipline

By instruction, example and application, students will learn that obedience comes as a result of submitting their heart and life fully to the Lord Jesus Christ. They will be taught that genuine love for Jesus is confirmed by obedience to His teaching, that obedience is the third element of the great commission, and that obedience will result in God's blessings. (1 Sam. 15:22; Matt. 7.:21-23; John 14:15, 21, 23; Matt. 28:20).

Evangelize and instill a Desire to Share the Gospel

Some students will be led to the Cross for the first time and will confess Jesus as Savior and Lord, while others will mature in their salvation. It is our desire that they will receive unshakable assurance of their commitment to Christ and will be provided opportunities to be witnesses, to minister, and to point out the Way of the Cross. Johm 3:16-17; 1 Pet. 2:2; Heb. 10:22-23; Col. 4:12; Matt. 28:18-20; Matt. 5: 13-16).

Purpose Statement

MWSB has as its purpose the practical training of Christian men and women in both the Scriptures and the Christian life. It is our goal that in both heart and mind they will leave here prepared for a life of committed service under the reign of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Philosophy of Education

In order to achieve our purpose, Montana Wilderness School of the Bible has incorporated a number of factors into its program to constitute our educational philosophy:

Bible Centered

MWSB maintains as its focal point in its curriculum and campus community the Word of God. It is our conviction that His Word is without error and is authoritative as God's communication to man. Our goal is to equip each student with a basic understanding of the Bible and its teachings, to gain an ability to study and apply it and then communicate its truth to others.

Faculty-Student Relationship

As the Lord Jesus lived with and taught His disciples by life and words, it is our desire to have our faculty invest their lives in our students. MWSB strives to create an atmosphere of openness and sharing between faculty, staffing students so that opportunities for learning go wet! beyond the formal classroom setting. Visiting faculty members on campus are always available for interaction. Staff homes on campus are open to students, creating a family atmosphere.
