Student Housing

The dormitories provide an ideal opportunity for you to learn the art of living with others and to make friends, and deepen your spiritual life and fellowship. Along with the benefits of dorm life, you will also have the following responsibilities:

A. Report of Needed Repairs:

Please inform the Director of Maintenance of any needed repairs. Do not undertake the repair yourself.

B. Damage:

Any damage to property beyond normal wear and tear is the responsibility of the individual student. It is expected that you will report any damage to the Director of Maintenance as soon as possible.

C. Electronic Sound Equipment:

Students are not permitted to have TV’s in their rooms. You may however bring stereos (no sub woofers allowed). These devices may not be operated without the use of head phones between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. Abuse of this privilege will result in removal of the equipment. Consideration of others in choice and volume of music is always an important factor.

D. Electrical Appliances:

Electric razors, hair dryers, curling irons, electric blankets, coffee makers, and corn poppers are acceptable appliances. Other food preparation is not allowed in the dorms because of fire hazard. Refrigerators and microwaves are not allowed in the dorms. Students may bring personal computers. No movies are allowed to be shown in rooms during the week.

E. Dormitory Decor:

Pictures and posters are allowed in dorm rooms although anything of a questionable nature will have to be taken down and will not be allowed in the dorms. No nails or tape is allowed so please bring your own sticky tack.

F. Dormitory Inspection:

Rooms are expected to be kept neat and clean. The R.A.’s will make regular inspections of the dorm rooms.

G. Pets:

Students are not allowed to have pets of any kind on campus.

H. Quiet Hours:

Quiet hours in the dorms are from 11:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m. During these times the utmost consideration should be given to being quiet so that others may study or sleep without interruption.
